At Mind Mosaic Child and Family Therapies our staff team receive Clinical Supervision and Workload Supervision every 4 weeks and the number of hours supervision received depends on the ratio of cases/ clients being seen by the worker.
This is not optional- it is mandatory and ensures a check and balance for the public that they know they are receiving the highest standard of service from a mentally fit and healthy staff team.
The trained and approved clinical supervisor is a highly experienced, qualified and skilled therapist who has met the necessary additional training and academic standard and approval of their registration body that allows them to deliver supervision to professionals.
The effective Supervisor will ensure that the therapist/ worker takes good care of themselves and in doing so avoids vicarious trauma and burn out.
The Clinical Supervisor will also ensure that the level of trauma and difficulty that the worker is currently involved in with each case does not exceed the individual's skill set or level of qualification which if left unchecked could be detrimental to both the client and the worker's mental health and wellbeing.
