For the past 6years as a local charity we have set up planned prepared and delivered our Little Box of Love at Christmas appeal.
This is our staff team effort in our own time and with some of our wonderful supporters that we volunteer to give what we can to benefit children and families most in need at the festive season. We hear and see the impact of poverty deprivation and despair every day in the voices and life experiences of children from our therapy rooms and we do our very best in this annual campaign to make a practical difference.
We are humbled each year by the overwhelming love and response from the public and this year even more so as we received hundreds of gift items from organisations such as Hays Travel Oak Mall Greenock ; Sainsbury's Gourock; Tesco Port Glasgow; Royal Bank of Scotland Cathcart Street Greenock; Gayle at Four Seasons Salon RBS staff call centre( cash donation); Dawn Cooke & District Nursing Teams; Children of St John's Church of Scotland Gourock; and a huge list of thoughtful caring individuals who have called in to our offices at Ladyburn Business Centre every single day of our campaign since early Nov to kindly give to help others.

We are working through our thank you letter list and are most grateful to all of you.
The power of social media has been just amazing as our appeal was posted on our FB; instagram and website- and the responses have been overwhelming.
As our campaign has now closed we are very happy to announce that we have provided over 230 children and teenagers with substantial filled gift bags that will bring a little cheer this year.
We distributed the gifts to our network partners and colleagues who placed request lists from Homestart Inverclyde; Inverclyde Health and Social Care Partnership; Kinship Teams; Inverclyde Women's Aid; Headteachers; and to families who access our own children's mental health services here at Ladyburn.
It is a good thing from time to time to ask yourself- what have you done today for others to make you feel proud?- each and every person who has donated to the Little Box of Love or helped with the planning preparation collection and distribution of gifts should feel very proud indeed- what a difference you have made to Inverclyde children and teenagers this Christmas
