Play Therapy- A Unique Specialist Intervention

Often very young children and older teenagers cannot articulate verbally what is troubling them- they do not have the words- and direct questioning or addressing presenting issues in a group setting might not be the most helpful intervention in some circumstances.

At Mind Mosaic Child & Family Therapies we provide Play Therapy- a unique specialist intervention- a type of child psychotherapy and attachment based- delivered by 5 highly trained and experienced Play Therapists who are post graduate qualified, indemnity insured and registered by BAPT; BACP and PTUK to work in person with children and teenagers age 3-18yrs who have been affected by a range of psychological difficulties and challenging life circumstances including-

 grief, loss, trauma, school anxiety, exam stress, chronic illness , disability, family breakdown, difficult peer relationships, neurodivergance, anger, poor confidence, low self esteem, shyness, domestic violence, living with a drug or alcohol addicted parent- the list is comprehensive though not exhaustive.

Support sessions are offered to parents and carers as the child journeys through the process of therapy.

Initial consultation appointments for parents and referrers are available with no wait time.

We have delivered Play Therapy in Inverclyde since 2009 and have an excellent record of good outcomes and child parent evaluation.
