We'd like to take the time to thank everyone....
I Big Lottery Improving Lives Large Grant funds Mind Mosaic to continue to provide Play Therapy services for children, young people, parents and carers in Inverclyde who have experienced challenges such as adverse childhood experiences (ACE); depression; anxiety; aggression; disability and learning difficulties; physical abuse; grief and loss; attachment disorder; family breakdown; low self-esteem; lone parent family; sexual abuse; young carers; living with carers affected by drug and alcohol abuse; poverty; bullying; school issues; domestic violence and trauma, so that they can better understand their feelings, effect change and become more autonomous in their recovery. The project aims to build the resilience of children/young people and help parents to cope enabling them to lead happier, healthier lives.
Big Lottery Young Start funds Mind Mosaic to continue to help children & young people with the new concept of a diversionary activity of superhero groups which will help us meet outcomes for children and young people by building confidence; improving mental, physical and emotional health; and providing new skills to help cope and manage with the use of superheroes and the values they represent. Funding allows us to provide one to one and group work with children who may still require additional support in managing grief, trauma, bullying, low self-esteem, challenging or risky behaviours, transitions, sexual abuse, being a young carer or living with a family member with alcohol/drug addictions amongst others.
Support from Children in Need allows us to continue provide children and young people with Play Therapy, additional group work focusing on issues that are currently affecting them, and family work focusing on strategies and techniques with parents and carers.
