RISE IN TEENAGE AND FAMILY REFERRALS

We have seen a rise in teenage and family referrals this month- many involving complex issues - and typically requiring a whole family response working with the "village" around the young person. Often this includes the parents, siblings and sometimes teachers or other professionals involved in the life of the child or teenager.

The support for the young person is consistent, reliable, and facilitated by trained, qualified, indemnity insured, registered and experienced staff.

 In response to increased demand we have extended check-in appointments that afford the young person and parent an opportunity to meet with one of our staff team in the first instance to allow an assessment for services to be discussed and the most appropriate supports to be identified.

Evaluation feedback from a parent at the end of a series of filial( with young person and family) sessions this week-

" We had "been around the houses" trying to find real support for our son( and for ourselves) and had met obstacles along the way- short term interventions offered that just didn't touch the surface of his troubles; knocking on the door of places that never seemed to be open when we were seeking help; not being appropriately signposted on to experienced agencies like yours when it became evident more in depth support was required- these were only some of the issues we were up against.
