A huge "Thank You" to the kind and generous people of Inverclyde for the great response to our Little Box of Love at Christmas appeal that as a local children's charity we deliver to Inverclyde children and families who are most in need every year. TRAINING WORKSHOP
A pleasure to meet with our network colleagues- the Board Trustees, volunteers and staff of Inverclyde Family Contact Centre today at our base in Ladyburn Business Centre as we delivered a training workshop on play as communication for children affected by a range of psychological difficulties and challenging life circumstances, and as we highlighted the ways in which we work with parents and carers to support the whole family around the child. RISE IN TEENAGE AND FAMILY REFERRALS
We have seen a rise in teenage and family referrals this month- many involving complex issues - and typically requiring a whole family response working with the "village" around the young person. Often this includes the parents, siblings and sometimes teachers or other professionals involved in the life of the child or teenager. The support for the young person is consistent, reliable, and facilitated by trained, qualified, indemnity insured, registered and experienced staff.
