As a small charity in Inverclyde who support children and families who have suffered at the hands of such violence - we fully support every effort to do more for survivors and as the families call for the Government to fund more specialist services who support them- including the small local charities and organisations who keep all who affected at the forefront of our work and thinking every day

OUR EASTER FETE
We are busy planning and preparing for our Family Easter Fete on Sat 28th March from 10.30am-2.30pm at Craigend Resource Centre in McLeod Street Greenock. There will be craft stalls; gift and card stalls; books; baking; children's toy tombola; tombola for the Mum's Dad's Grandparents Aunties and Uncles; Story Telling for the little ones; Raffle prizes; Cafe with tea, coffee, biscuits, hot dogs and burgers; and an Easter Egg Hunt for the children Donations gratefully received


NO MORE WEEK...
In No More Week we raise awareness of domestic abuse and sexual violence and as trained Play Therapists we work with children teenagers and parents affected by these issues and as we support their recovery....


NEW STRAND TO OUR SERVICE
From Monday 2nd March we launch a new strand to our service that will support children, teenagers and parents who need a short intervention or quick access support while waiting for therapy or mental health services with other agencies


SEEKING SUPPORT & GUIDANCE IN RELATION TO YOUR CHILD?
Parents, carers of children and young people age 0-18yrs who are seeking support/ advice/ guidance in relation to your child or your own mental health and wellbeing and not quite sure what supports are out there, where to turn to, or what to access when the family are under stress and strain and affected by difficult life circumstances? We have a range of times available throughout Mon- Friday where first point of contact support can be readily accessed at our base in Ladybur


IN SERVICE TRAINING WORKSHOP
We look forward to welcoming the Head teacher and Staff team from Skypoint School today at our base in Ladyburn Business Centre as we deliver an in-service training workshop- An Introduction To Play Therapy/ Trauma Response


A WEE MIND VALENTINE!
Our little ones at today's WEE MINDS group had great fun painting sticking and creating Valentine cards. Through the freeing effect of play they learn to build social bonds, enact social themes, unleash joy and excitement, discharge distress and reduce or eliminate inhibitions- and as parents play with their children they build and establish good attachment relationships. MENTAL HEALTH & FUN ACTIVITIES
Our Group Workers Stephen and Kodi are in Lady Alice Primary School in Greenock this morning speaking to P4-P7 children about mental health and inviting them to join in some fun activities to help them find ways to self regulate and self soothe when they have difficult feelings and emotions.
