Did you know that patchwork quilting is good for mental health?
It helps to reduce stress and anxiety; improves cognitive function; diverts the mind from worries promoting a calming effect; can lower blood pressure; boost the mood; and improve eye and hand co-ordination; encourages problem solving skills and social connections when done in groups.
Join us for a new small group on Tuesdays commencing Tuesday 21st Oct from 5.30pm- 7pm until Tues 9th December at our base in Ladyburn Business Centre in Pottery Street and learn how to make some small patchwork crafts and Christmas items.
We welcome individuals seeking stress relief at the end of the working day, anyone looking to improve good mental health and wellbeing, Parents, Carers, Grandparents, families or parent and child who wish to come along together ( children age 8yrs and over please- unfortunately the activity is not set up for small children or babies)
No previous experience required- beginners most welcome!
Donation based- and tea, coffee and biscuits provided.
